Accelerated Professional Development

The Accelerated Professional Development program is designed to support people and organisations committed to achieving both professional and personal success.

The program includes a three hour seminar and focuses on the following areas:
1. The value of professional development
2. Diagnosing and understanding your preferred learning style
3. Achieving professional and personal success

1. The value of Professional Development
Participants will gain an understanding of what professional development means in the context of the rapidly changing world in which we live today. This will involve a review of the more significant developments in technology and communications and the subsequent ease of accessing knowledge today. This is presented in the context of their own professional and personal development.
This stage of the seminar emphasises what it means to be a “Professional” and the value and importance of the participants continued “Development”.

2. Diagnose, understand and leverage your preferred learning style
Participants are presented with an engaging review of some of the basic, yet critical skills developed throughout our lives and the various elements associated with successful learning and skill development.
In order to maximise learning opportunities, an understanding of preferred learning styles is then explored through a short questionnaire provided to each participant.
This stage of the seminar then involves a review of participant’s preferred learning styles and the way in which they can leverage their preferences to blend training and other learning information to maximise their own development.

3. Achieving professional and personal success
In summary, Accelerated Professional Development focuses on continued professional and personal success through setting and achieving learning development goals.
The last stage of the seminar focuses on setting objectives to improve current skill levels and specific strategies to develop new skills. A review of the 8 Skills for Career SuccessTM and Knowledge Network completes the seminar. Participants also receive the 8 Skills for Career SuccessTM self study DVD and access to the Knowledge Network service for online development and career mentoring.
