LEAD Leadership Evaluation and Awareness Development

The LEAD Program is designed to support organisations committed to achieving a high performance culture, established by high performing leaders, modelling high performance standards.

The program comprises three elements:

  1. Diagnosis of strengths and improvement opportunities
  2. A personal skill development plan
  3. Customised delivery of skill development modules

1. Diagnosis

LEAD participants undergo an evaluation process to determine how their own behaviour will assist or impede the development of a high performing team. This involves the use of The Apollo Personality and Work Motivations Profile an instrument designed to measure a manager’s workplace motivations, values and preferences in the context of high performance in the modern workplace.

The evaluation component of the LEAD program is modelled on “excellence” in the workplace rather than “mean or average” performance and reviews:

  1. Career Drives
  2. Conflict Management Style
  3. Coping
  4. Leadership and Influence
  5. People Orientation
  6. Strategic Orientation
  7. Values
  8. Workplace Management

2. A personal skill development plan

The factors and characteristics identified in the evaluation are mapped to theory and practical exercises that demonstrate the necessary behaviours modelled by high performing leaders. Participants will undertake a comprehensive review of their own preferred leadership and management styles and identify a plan to adapt preferred styles to achieve high performance.

3. Customised delivery of skill development modules

The 8 Skills for Management Success™ is then introduced to the participant based on their specific skill development needs. The 8 Skills for Management Success™ is a series of skill development modules and supporting tools. It is designed to help Managers’ improve their business results by increasing the productivity and effectiveness both of their teams, and of individuals within their teams.

Every manager is both a team coach and an individual skills coach and the concepts and capabilities used by high performing sporting teams, leading organisations and international performance management experts are integrated to underpin this practical, and compelling series.

The skill modules include learning materials, DVD clips, tools and planners.

The 8 Skills for Management Success™ is grouped to 3 categories focused on team development, individual player development, and the final module considers the importance of managing upwards. Modules are as follows:

2. Setting Team Objectives   6. Planning the Coaching Session    
3. Implementing Team Action Plans   7. Running the Coaching Session

The LEAD program is typically delivered in small group workshops or through Personal Coaching programs.
